As you may or may not be aware, a host of new regulations came into force on 1 October.
These consisted mainly of amendments to section 21 of the Housing Act 1988 and the new smoke and carbon monoxide alarm regulations.
To help landlords and agents get a grip on all this, we arranged for barrister Sam Madge Wyld of Arden Chambers to run a workshop for us on, actually on the 1 October. After which, we hope, no further amendments can be made.
(Which was perhaps fortunate as a last minute amendment WAS made! The new prescribed section 21 notice was amended before it even came into force, due to a government error in drafting.)
The 29 or so delegates who attended our workshop will now have the best possible preparation for the future. Sam explained everything most carefully and answered all questions.
As it was such an important workshop we also arranged for it to be filmed and we will be releasing this as an online training course shortly. Watch this space!
A fantastic day! To be able to go through the new laws and regulations in such detail and ask specific questions was fantastic.
Even better was the detailed booklet that accompanied the day so that you only had to make specific notes in the margins, not try and write it all down from scratch. Thanks to Sam Madge-Wilde and Easy Law!
