We had our very first event at Homerton College on Thursday when I did my third ‘Ending Tenancies’ workshop.
This looks at all the various ways that tenancies can end looking at:
- Background law
- The different methods
- Ending fixed term and periodic tenancies
- Dealing with death
- Eviction notices and
- Introduction to possession proceedings
There was a lot of content but delegates seemed to enjoy it. For example Kevin Michael of Equity Estate Agents said
I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop. Tessa kept our attention for the entire day as the content was relevant and very well executed. I’m already looking for my next workshop to book!
Tony Carter said (speaking particularly about the eviction element)
As a small scale landlord who manages my own properties, this is essential knowledge – that I hope I will never have to use!
We had quite a range of delegates, with small landlords, agents, property managers and some social housing landlord staff.
Homerton looked after us well with a nice sandwich lunch and lovely cakes in the afternoon.
All in all a good day.
