What are workshops?
Our workshops are small classes (generally between 10-20 attendees) where the trainer is able to give more focused and detailed training on specific issues.
As the classes are small, there is much more scope for discussion and interaction, both within the group and with the trainer. People generally find them very rewarding.
WORKSHOP PROGRAM :
Topics covered will include - What is leasehold and why does it matter? Typical leasehold arrangements (freeholders, management companies, managing agents, etc), leases and subletting, ground rent, service charges and administration charges - what are they?
Potential issues & claims
Topics covered will include - how to challenge service charges (and when you should), repairing obligations - inside and outside the flat, trouble with freeholder / managing agents - right to manage, management audit, etc, enfranchisement (extending the lease and purchasing a share of the freehold)
This workshop will take place in offices of Anthony Gold (who are sponsoring this event) which are very conveniently located close to London Bridge Railway station - with excellent rail connections to South London, and the southern counties. London Bridge is also on the Jubilee and Northern Line.
Facilities will include:
- Tea & coffee on arrival and in the two breaks
- Buffet lunch (vegetarians catered for)
- Afternoon break with tea and coffee and cake
- Free wi fi
