What are workshops?

Our workshops are small classes (generally between 10-20 attendees) where the trainer is able to give more focused and detailed training on specific issues.

As the classes are small, there is much more scope for discussion and interaction, both within the group and with the trainer. People generally find them very rewarding.

  • AM

    Employee essentials

Topics covered will include - advertising for employees (e.g.the pitfalls to avoid), contracts of employment (and what needs to be in them), employee health (what to do if an employee declares ill health following an offer of employment)

  • PM

    Further procedures

Topics covered will include - procedures and policies (why you need them and what they should contain), dealing with sickness absence and/or disability (and how to recognise a reasonable adjustment when it's requested), termination of employment (using the policies and procedures discussed earlier)

This course should help you avoid the claims and difficult working environments which can result if these things are not dealt with properly from the start.

Avoiding claims (which can be surprisingly expensive) in the first place is always the best and cheapest way of managing risk.
