Tessa Shepperson is a solicitor and a specialist in landlord and tenant law. She is the Managing Director of the Landlord Law Services and the Landlord Law membership site.
Much of Tessa’s training is for her Landlord Law members, although she also does workshops from time to time. However, she is also available to provide in-house training if required. Note that all courses apply to England (and sometimes, Wales) only.
Tessa’s in-house training courses
T1 – Introduction to Landlord and Tenant Law (short lets)
A one-day starter course which briefly covers all the main areas of tenancy law which apply to landlords (does not include any tax law or issues relating to the sale and purchase of properties). Applies to England only.
T2 – Tenancy Agreements
This course covers background law, the different types of tenancy (private lets only), the different tenancy agreements, common clauses in tenancy agreements, and drafting issues. Applies to England only.
T3 – Ending Tenancies
A recording of Tessa’s most recent workshop is available to » purchase here. If you wanted Tessa to deliver this as in-house training, the course content would be very similar. Applies to England only.
T4 – Private Sector Housing Law in Wales post-December 2022
A one-day training course looking at the new Welsh legislation, in particular the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 and the new legal regime in Wales. » Click here to find out more.
About Tessa’s training
Note that as Tessa is based in Norwich and does not drive, she prefers to deliver training online, although travel to your offices can sometimes be arranged.
All in-house training costs £1,100 + VAT for online training. A higher charge will apply if you want Tessa to travel to your offices. Please ask for a quotation.
Where training is delivered online, a recording can be made available to your staff for a limited amount of time.
